The Franchise Business Leader work efficiently and assume personal responsibility for championing Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen’s strategies and initiatives while preserving the Brand’s reputation and improving performance across the system. The Franchise Business Leader will have a portfolio of 80-100 restaurants.

  • Influences the team to identify and solve problems, removes barriers and holds leaders accountable

  • Recognize and celebrates the accomplishments of the teams

Business Planning to Achieve Results

Creates alignment around priorities; Coaches RGM to develop and adjust forecasts and operation plans; Monitors and partners with the RGM & Above Restaurant Leader to develop strategies to achieve goals.

  • Partners to create business plans and goals for Franchisees and Restaurant General Managers to ensure controls are planned to meet the needs of the business

  • Monitors and partners with the Restaurant General Manager, Above Restaurant Leader and Franchisee to develop strategies to achieve goals

  • Sets clear direction and focuses the Restaurant General Managers on priorities

  • Coaches Restaurant General Managers to develop and adjust forecasts and operation plans

  • Provides input that influences decisions on new restaurant development

Brand Champion

Partners with franchisee and restaurant teams to bring the Popeyes guest experience to life

  • Partners with Franchisee, Above Restaurant Leader and Restaurant General Manager to co-author and sponsor brand initiatives

  • Ensures that Popeyes standards are met

  • Actively participates and requires Restaurant General Manager’s involvement in Popeyes sponsored activities and Limited Time Offer (LTO) execution

  • Removes barriers that prevent the Restaurant General Managers from delivering a memorable experience

  • Coaches and influences the Restaurant General Manager to deliver a memorable employee and guest experience

  • Conduct on-site evaluations of restaurants within their territory.

  • Identify restaurants that are not meeting system standards and/or concept integrity requirements.

  • Conduct personal consultation with restaurant managers and above restaurant leaders regarding prepared actions plans, gain commitment for correction, and clearly defined consequences for non-compliance.

  • Prepare time bound, specific action plans to correct areas of non-compliance.

  • Responsible for generating and maintaining detailed documentation of non-compliance issues, discussions and follow-up actions to support all action taken on any given restaurant. Provides appropriate documentation as required to support any legal actions.

  • Responsible for engaging each assigned franchise operator in the development, execution and follow-up of an annual business plan for the franchise organization/restaurant and quarterly follow-up meetings


Creates a plan each year for people experience, guest experience, operations, community involvement and facility maintenance. Communicates a common vision and translates it into specific goals and action plans

  • Facilitates the implementation of annual restaurant budgeting for the assigned market

  • Partners to create business plans and goals for Restaurant General Managers to ensure controls are planned to meet the needs of the business

  • Schedule and participates in bi-weekly calls

  • Schedule time to interview franchisee candidates

  • Follow-up on compliance and vendor issues

  • Schedule time for high-touch LTO rollout
